MECACONCEPT apprivoise l’espace et le temps
Spécialisée en mécanique et informatique industrielle, MECACONCEPT conçoit et réalise des machines sur mesure pour les domaines de l’aéronautique, la chimie, l’agro-alimentaire ou l’industrie pharmaceutique.
Contacté par Cera Engineering en mars 2020 en vue d’une collaboration, Sébastien Nivet, directeur général, a immédiatement perçu l’opportunité de se rendre utile face à la crise sanitaire qui touchait le pays et son économie.
Le double défi qui s’est alors imposé résidait, d’une part, dans la compression des délais de production de 5 à 3 mois pour la réalisation de la première machine à masques et, d’autre part, dans l’urgence de trouver 500 m2 de surface d’assemblage pour les machines à réaliser.
L’implication de sous-traitants locaux, l’embauche d’intérimaires et la formation spécifique de mécaniciens par Cera Engineering, ont permis à MECACONCEPT de prendre en charge les approvisionnements nécessaires à la réalisation des machines et leur montage.
Opérant 7 jours sur 7, avec une équipe de montage de 10 personnes, au lieu des 4 habituels, et grâce au chef de projet, l’entreprise a tenu les délais fixés.
Pour l’assemblage de l’ensemble des machines, MECACONCEPT a loué un local et l’a équipé d’un groupe électrogène, de compresseurs et d’Algeco, indispensables à la bonne réalisation des opérations.
La collaboration avec Cera Engineering s’est révélée être un projet très fédérateur pour M. Nivet, en interne et avec les sous-traitants. L’expérience amène par ailleurs MECACONCEPT à se questionner sur l’impact de l’espace de production sur le développement futur de l’entreprise.

MECACONCEPT tames space and time
Specialised in mechanical engineering and industrial data processing, MECACONCEPT designs and manufactures bespoke machines for the aeronautical, chemical, agri-food and pharmaceutical industries.
Contacted by Cera Engineering in March 2020 with a view to a possible collaboration, Sébastien Nivet, the general manager, immediately saw the opportunity to do something useful in the face of the public health crisis which was affecting the country and its economy.
The dual challenge that then presented itself lay firstly in the need to compress lead times from 5 to 3 months for the production of the first mask-making machine and, secondly, in the pressing need to find 500 m² of assembly space to build the machines.
The involvement of local subcontractors, the hiring of temporary workers and the specific training provided by Cera Engineering for the fitters enabled MECACONCEPT to take care of procuring the materials necessary to make and assemble the machines.
Working 7 days a week with a 10-strong assembly team, instead of the usual 4, and thanks to the efforts of the project manager, the firm was able to meet the deadlines.
To assemble all the machines, MECACONCEPT rented a building and equipped it with a generator, compressors, adding Algeco temporary buildings indispensable to the successful completion of the operations.
For Mr Nivet, the collaboration with Cera Engineering proved to be a project that really brought people together, both within the company itself and with the subcontractors. In addition, the experience has led MECACONCEPT to wonder about the impact of this production space on the future development of the company.
